Press Release: Members of the Standing Committee on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources led by Wasika Ayesha Khan MP and Local MP Ashek Ullah Rafiq inspected the progress of construction work of Deep Sea Port and Coal Power Plant yesterday afternoon.
At the end of the visit, both the Chairman and the members of the Standing Committee exchanged views with the senior officials of the project on the progress of the work.
Wasika Ayesha Khan MP said that through these projects the area will emerge as a commercial hub. The standard of living of the people in this area will change. This area is going to be one of the centers of economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Ashek Ullah Rafiq MP said- We can say that we also have a deep seaport in the world. This will add another feather to the success of the country in the world court.
Also present during the visit were Nurul Islam Talukder MP, Aslam Hossain Saudagar MP, Mosha Khaleda Khanam MP, Nargis Rahman MP, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Power and Energy and senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat.
